On the huge That Son Range (Seven Mountains) along highway 91 from Long Xuyen to Chau Doc, Anh Vu, or Ket, Mountain is a well known and favorite destination for travelers. The 225 meter mountain is located in Thoi Son ward, Tinh Bien district, An Giang province.

And that’s why the Saigon Hash House Harriers have become so popular. “Hashing,” a weekly jog first begun in 1938 by a group of British officers in Malaysia wanting to run off the weekend’s excesses, began in Ho Chi Minh City in 1990. Originally a men’s activity, hash groups are now mostly co-ed.

Domestic travel up despite downturn

Travel industry executives attribute a fall in the number of foreign tourists in large part to the global economic crisis rather than the swine flu scare. They also add that domestic travel has picked up some of the slack, riding on a nationwide tourism promotion campaign that has offered significant service discounts.
