Hanoi lacks luxury hotel rooms Print E-mail

Hanoi-based travelling companies are facing the decrease of their income due to the lack of hi-end rooms for visitors to Vietnam at peak period. A travelling firm’s representative said at the moment visitors can hardly find luxury hotel rooms in Hanoi as almost 90 percent of the rooms have been in use over the last two months despite the average rent price of 160 USD per room per day.

The low-cost airline Jetstar Pacific will resume domestic service between HCMC and Hue from December 5 in coincidence with a traditional pickup in domestic air travel demand and a fall in world oil prices. Nguyen Thi Thuy Binh, chief commercial officer of Jetstar Pacific, told the Daily on the phone on Monday that data showed the number of passengers often jumped during the months toward the end and the beginning of year.
