As Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand, is surrounded by demonstrators, many flights from Vietnam to Bangkok today, November 26, have been cancelled while many flights from Bangkok to Vietnam haven’t been able to take off.

HCMC–based Ben Thanh Tourist launched a new service earlier this month called Free & Easy Travel all local and foreign tourists, and in particular Overseas Vietnamese who are planning to return home for Lunar New Year 2009.

Culture ship to berth in HCM City Print E-mail

The Nippon Maru, a ship that set sail from Japan carrying 328 youth ambassadors from Japan and the 10 member nations of the ASEAN grouping at the end of October, will dock at HCM City's Sai Gon Port tomorrow. The sailing trip spanning 11 countries takes place every year under a cultural exchange programme funded by the Japanese Government.

The recent floods in the north of Vietnam put a major dampener on the country’s tourism industry. Earlier this month Vietnam experienced the worst rainstorm it had seen in 35 years. The floods which threw much of the capital city into chaos for a few days not surprisingly scared off a fair few tourists.
