DauIslet.jpgThis small island is about 1 km away from the mainland (Do Son town).
Under Ly-Tran dynasties, the islet was one of the major outposts for Dai Viet troops during the resistance against foreign invaders. The French colonialists captured Hai Phong in 1873 and 3 years later, they constructed Hai Phong port.

omnihotelto842.jpgThe Opera House is located in Hoang Van Thu Street, Hong Bang district. The City Opera Square is surrounded by Hoang Van Thu street to the west, Dinh Tien Hoang to the east, Tran Phu to the south and the Opera House to the North. This area used to be the An Bien village’s market, which was demolished in order to build the Opera House by the French in 1900.

Tuong Long Tower - Hai Phong City Print E-mail

thaptuonglong.jpgTuong Long Tower (or Do Son Tower) was built in Ly Thanh Tong dynasty. This tower is located on an area of about 2000 square metres, in Van Son district, Do Son town. All its four angles are 190 biased to the centre. It is empty inside, only to hold a statue of Amitabha. It was built of different-sized pieces of stones and bricks. Besides the brick, there is also the facing bricks with unique decoration of lotus, chrysanthemum and lemon flowers.
