This festival of the Tay ethnic group,
also called " Inviting the Lunar Mother Festival", is celebrated in
Dong Khe region. It takes place at the beginning of spring and lasts
for 10 to 15 days. All families gather to pray to the Moon Mother for
good things, a plentiful harvest and healthy cattle.
Cam Vu Pagoda, often called as Ban Gian
or Dong Lai pagoda, is located at Dong Lai hamlet, Ban Gian village,
Lap Thach district, Vinh Phuc province. It was built in the later Le
dynasty and repaired many times in the Nguyen dynasty.
