 Dalat has three magnificent, large
palaces which are always referred to as Palace 1, Palace 2 and Palace
3. The architectural designs for the palaces were completed by the
French. They are accessible by long flights of brick steps and gently
sloping roads. The path is completely covered with a broad canopy of
pine trees.

 The Dambri waterfalls are situated
north of Bao Loc in Lam Dong province. According to the Ma ethnic
language, Dambri mean "cascade of the lion", and according to the Coho
ethnic language, "the stream of hope".

 The Prenn Waterfall is located at the
foot of the 10km - long Prenn mountain pass, on the route from Dalat to
Ho Chi Minh city. The famous waterfalls are located approximately 100 m
from the road.

 Located 40km east of Dalat, Danhim lake
is the site of a hydroelectric dam. The water from the damn travels
through two pipes down from the Ngoan Muc Pass to supply power to much
of the South.

 Linh Son pagoda is located on a hill
about 700m from the centre of Dalat. This attractive pagoda, built in
1938 is still in very good condition.

 Than Tho Lake is mean Lake of Sighs in Vietnamese.
This natural lake situated on top of a hill covered with pine trees, 6km north-east of Dalat was enlarged by a French dam.
