Culture ship to berth in HCM City Print E-mail

The Nippon Maru, a ship that set sail from Japan carrying 328 youth ambassadors from Japan and the 10 member nations of the ASEAN grouping at the end of October, will dock at HCM City's Sai Gon Port tomorrow. The sailing trip spanning 11 countries takes place every year under a cultural exchange programme funded by the Japanese Government.

The recent floods in the north of Vietnam put a major dampener on the country’s tourism industry. Earlier this month Vietnam experienced the worst rainstorm it had seen in 35 years. The floods which threw much of the capital city into chaos for a few days not surprisingly scared off a fair few tourists.

Van Phuc village in Ha Dong City, about ten kilometers from Hanoi, is well-known nationwide as an ancient craft village where beautiful silk products with many patterns were made for traditional clothes for the kings of the Nguyen dynasty.

Thanh Chuong Viet Art Museum is no ordinary museum. Instead of displaying pieces of history from behind glass, here, only 40km from Ha Noi, visitors can experience some of the rich diversity of traditional Vietnamese culture with all five senses.
