Guests can take a leisurely walk along the beach in the morning and discover the island in the afternoon, or indulge themselves in spa services with tradition lives on and the Cham atmosphere runs deep.

The resort has bolstered its Life Spa with an expansive suite of new treatment packages. The new packages resurrect traditional detoxification treatments favored by Cham royalty.

The resort's new signature treatments pursue a choreographed regimen of scrubs, wraps, brushes and massages that invoke ancient rituals and a multiplicity of styles. The sessions include a variety of treatments from the dry sand and salt sauna to steam therapy, sea salt scrubs and papaya body glows.

"To really make that critical breakthrough in a treatment, it has to be more than a hands-on experience, or a purely physical exercise," said Robyn Bautovich, manager of the resort.

"Our aim is wellness, and with these new signature treatments, we're consistently achieving access to that rarified sense of harmony, balance and peace. It sounds hokey, I know... until you get there and it all makes sense," he said.

Apart from the spa service, the resort's wellness programs also include yoga, tai chi, meditation, kite-flying, tree planting, beach jogging, power walking, speed walking, cooking classes and health beverage mixing classes.

A typical weekday there consists of waking up at 6 a.m., stretching, yoga and meditation from 6:30 to 7:30 followed by breakfast and a two-and-a-half-hour hike. At midday a massage; lunch; rest and a class in movement or tai chi sea; sport; then another three-hour spa. The day ends with dinner and evening entertainment, ranging from chamber music to a lecture on stress reduction.
