Some helicopters of the
Northern Air Service Corporation carried some tourists stuck in the
tourism town of Sapa, Lao Cai province due to floods to
Hanoi on August 11. Each traveller had to pay around $1,000 to go back to Hanoi.
This morning, August 12, ToPas Sa Pa Company transported 13 international tourists from Sapa to Hanoi by helicopter.
Some more flights will be conducted today, said Senior Lieutenant-colonel Nguyen Cong Tap from the Lao Cai Provincial Military Headquarters.
Luckily, the Lao Cai-Hanoi train route was resumed at 1am on August 12 after three days of being paralysed, bringing the first 700 tourists back to Hanoi. Every 25 minutes there will be a new train.
