Phan Thiet hosts int’l windsurfing competition

The annual International Windsurfing Tournament at Full Moon Beach Resort in Phan Thiet finished Saturday.

The 9th Vietnam Fun Cup 2008 attracted 38 male and female wind-surfers from Australia, Bulgaria, France, Israel, the Republic of Korea, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, the UK and Vietnam.

Binh Thuan Province Tourism and Sport authorities and the Jibe’s Beach windsurfing club organized the event which started on Friday.

The windsurfing cup aimed to promote windsurfing to tourists and locals.

Last year’s tournament at Ham Tien Beach, Phan Thiet, attracted 50 competitors from 13 countries.
